As a destination for avid sports enthusiasts, Seefeld is going from strength to strength. It’s not only the ideal terrain and altitude, however, that attract ardent athletes – both amateur and professional - to the Olympiaregion Seefeld. The Nordic Competence Centre now boasts two brand new ski jumps, state-of-the-art biathlon facilities, 279 km of cross-country skiing trails with snow-making amenities and, during the summer months, a roller ski track – a second-to-none facility in the Alpine region and proof that the Olympiaregion Seefeld is a force to be reckoned with when it comes to Nordic sports. An ideal location for sporting events, the Nordic Competence Centre with its arena will provide the perfect setting for the Nordic disciplines of the 2012 Youth Olympic Games which are being held in the Olympiaregion Seefeld.
